Lego Education Mindstorms EV3 is an educational robotics platform. Using it, the student will be able to create his first robot in the first lesson. The EV3-based curriculum is designed for the entire middle school and can be used for high school.

Assembling from this set is much faster than the parts of other designers. Rivets do not need to be clamped on them; they open themselves due to elasticity. Screws, replaces the cruciform axle. Nuts are not needed - the axles are held due to longitudinal friction. Plus, there are special parts for assembling some components, for example, a differential. All this greatly speeds up the assembly.

For a child, Lego Mindstorms is like a game and does not require special technical training. We use this constructor as the first step on the way to robotics. Be sure to convey to the children that the development of Lego is a great work of many engineers so that they do not create the illusion of "magic" in robotics. Education in robotics includes several areas: programming, electronics and mechanics. Children need to understand the way it works.
